How can I get a Target Circle Card Reloadable Account?
Click on ‘Open a Reloadable’ in the header above to register online. Once you register online, you will receive a personalized card in the mail at the address you provide.
There is a limit to one (1) Target Circle Card Reloadable Account per person. You must be 18 years old (or 19 in AL, NE) to register for an account.
How do I activate my personalized card?
1. Log into your account at targetcirclereloadable.com/activate
•Locate the card activation notification and click the ACTIVATE button
(NOTE: You may have to click the arrow > to scroll past the first notification to get the card activation notification)
2. Or call 1-833-840-4332 and follow the prompts.
What can I do with a virtual temporary card?
We’ve made it easy to start using your Target Circle Card Reloadable Account right away! Upon successful online registration and email verification, a virtual temporary card will be made available for online purchases while you wait for your personalized debit card to arrive in the mail. Once you add money to your Target Circle Card Reloadable Account, log into your account to access your virtual temporary card number, CVV code and expiration date. See here for all the ways you can add money to your account.
Once you’ve added money to your account, you can use your virtual temporary card for online purchases, including at a Target location, until your personalized debit card arrives.
Do not use your temporary virtual card number for recurring payments such as memberships or subscriptions as it will be deactivated once you activate your personalized card, which will arrive in the mail 7-10 days after you complete registration. Once you activate your personalized card, your virtual temporary card will be deactivated.
What can I do on the mobile app?
The Reloadable Target Circle Card mobile app allows you to manage your account from where you are.1 In addition to viewing your balance, you can also:
- Cash a check using Mobile Check Capture by Ingo® Money2
- Generate a barcode to load cash at Target for free, or find retail locations where you can add cash for a fee with a barcode3
- Get your Account and Routing Numbers to set up direct deposit
- Transfer money to other Reloadable Target Circle Cardholders
- View monthly statements, recent transactions, and goal balances
- Set up and/or manage subaccounts

Can I restrict Pathward® from sharing my information?
Anyone with a Target Circle Card Reloadable Account has to agree to Pathward’s Privacy Policy during the registration process.
The Privacy Policy states that Pathward is able to share your personal information with Target Corporation, and that you are able to opt out of Pathward sharing this information. To opt out of Pathward sharing your information with Target Corporation, log into your account, click on “My Profile,” then locate and click on “Privacy Settings” under “Settings.” Uncheck the box and click “Save.”
Can I receive balance alerts on my account?
Yes, you can receive text message and/or email alerts to stay informed about your account activity, including:
- Low balance alerts
- Money added
- Available balance
To set up alerts:
- Log in to your account and go to My Profile.
- Select Notification Settings, located under the Settings section.
- Under the Text1 and/or Email column, check the box next to each type of alert you wish to set up. If you want to opt out of a text or email alert you are currently receiving, uncheck the appropriate box.
- For balance alerts, enter the amount at which you’d like to get a notification if the balance drops below. For example, you would enter $10.00 if you’d like to receive an alert whenever the balance drops below $10.00. Please note that this is a required field and must be filled out in order to set up your alerts properly.
4. Select Save Changes and your text and email alert settings will be updated.
If I signed up during a promotional period, when will I receive my credit?
If you signed up during a promotional period, you will receive a statement credit to your account (not a coupon in the mail) once you complete the following actions:
- Complete online registration and verify your email address
- Receive your personalized card in the mail and activate it
- Load money into your account
- Spend the noted amount at a Target store or Target.com within 45 days of registration
Note: the spend at Target must happen in one transaction and cannot include cash back at the register
Once you complete the above, the credit will be posted in your account within 30 days of the transaction. Limit one credit per customer in their lifetime. If you close your account and re-open a new one during a promotional period, you will not receive another statement credit.
